Earlier this year Abbott hosted an evening discussion with leading CSR professionals on social innovation

At the 11th Annual Responsible Business, Abbott, a U.S. based health care company, hosted an evening discussion that brought together representatives from the NGO, academic, corporate and media sectors for a conversation on how social innovation can be successfully realized in the real world.

Participants talked about ways to create meaningful impact in emerging markets and the role and responsibilities of business and NGOs in bringing about social change.

Through a series of taped interviews, Abbott asked individuals from these various industry sectors, including Toby Webb, Founder and Chairman of Ethical Corporation, Graham Baxter, Senior Advisor to International Business Leaders forum and Fiona Wilkinson, Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications at Visa, to define social innovation and why it’s important to our global society.
