Between 27th and 28th September Singapore Compact will be hosting their 2 day international Summit at the Raffles City Convention Centre, Singapore

In an economic environment still recovering from multiple economic shocks, trade uncertainty and political transformations, economies have seen tightening measures worldwide. We also face challenges on many fronts including climate change, ethics, trust and inclusive developments.

The intersection of interests has meant more cross-organisational collaborations and a need to understand multiple stakeholder perspectives.

The recently concluded Rio+20 United Nations Conference for Sustainable Development saw further reinforcement that corporates have an important role in attaining sustainable development goals. CSR is the process to achieve this.

This 2-day conference will explore CSR from the latest global trends and developments. There will be plenty of real life examples showing shareholder value, stakeholder engagement and a host of topics and issues. This conference will be a valuable platform for learning, sharing and networking.

As an extension of the past three years' Summits, this year’s Summit will feature speakers and leaders from the top of their fields, they will share their research and findings, addressing different business stakeholder groups and impart CSR strategies on how to ride the uncertainty and seize opportunities.

Held in conjunction with the Summit are the Singapore Compact CSR Awards and the CDL-Singapore Compact Young CSR Leaders’ Competition. Winners will be receiving their prizes during the opening ceremony of the Summit on 27th September 2012 at Raffles City Convention Centre, Singapore.
