Africa Leads is an initiative that envisages a collaborative, continental partnership of organizations that are engaged in and committed to developing the kind of leadership Africa needs in business, government and civil society.

Between 18th - 21St  November Africa Leads will kick off with an international conference on responsible leadership at Spier Wine Estate near Cape Town.

The programme will consist of learning journeys, keynote addresses, paper presentations, dialogues, work sessions, cultural activities, a PhD colloquium and the establishment of The Africa Council for Responsible Leadership.

All these activities will revolve around the challenge of building Africa’s capacity for responsible leadership so that this immensely beautiful continent with its rich diversity of human talent and natural resources can fulfil its potential of on the global stage.

Africa Leads is more than a conference. It is the start of a movement and therefore an invitation to a long tem commitment.

The convening partners for the initiative are the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI), University of Stellenbosch Business School and the Albert Luthuli Centre for Responsible Leadership at the University of Pretoria.

Stellenbosch Business School, being the host of the event, invites people from all over the globe with a keen interest in Africa’s responsible leadership and sustainable development challenges to come and participate in a globally relevant debate and enjoy good South African hospitality.
