Top executives from AkzoNobel, Motorola, Siemens and GE Oil & Gas will join a line up of over 25 senior representatives to discuss the latest best practice in compliance and ethics 11 August 2009, Brussels

AkzoNobel, GE Oil & Gas-VetcoGray Motorola, and Siemens will lead cutting edge discussions at The 3rd Annual European Anti-corruption Summit two day business conference in Brussels organized by Ethical Corporation on 20-21 October 2009.

AkzoNobel’s Senior Legal Counsel, Roland van Weeldan will feature on a panel discussion focusing on due diligence and the challenges associated with scoping out legitimate partners.

The senior representative will reveal how, when vetting suppliers, you can make your procedures robust and free from conflicts of interest.

Thor Lovland will join the panel to share his experience as Director of Global Due Diligence at GE Oil & Gas-VetcoGray.

He will lead discussions on whether you can or should consider a values or ethics assessment of your key suppliers when entering in to a business partnership.

Motorola’s Corporate Supply Chain Lead Counsel, Sian Hughes will lead the debate on an opening plenary session discussing whether companies should be guided by legislation or by solid values and principles.

In addition to this, Siemens’ Head of Compliance Investigations, Rainer-Diethardt Buehrer will be placed in the hot seat in an ‘off the record’ session that grapples with real-life challenging business dilemmas.

Conference attendees will be submitting their own ethical challenges in advance of the event to be debated during this feature plenary.
