Northern Trust has appointed Connie Lindsey as head of corporate social responsibility, a newly created post. She will report directly to the president and CEO, Frederick Waddell. In her new role, she will be in charge of formulation and execution of Northern Trust’s CSR aims, approach, policies and programs internationally. Lindsey was formerly working as segment head in the public entities and institution segment of the corporate and institutional services business unit at Northern Trust.

Starbucks has hired Tim McCoy to fill a newly-created head of communications role. Previously a senior consultant at Blue Rubicon, and formerly of the BBC, Tim McCoy has been appointed to the top comms role by the coffee giant following a major trawl by head-hunters. The new job follows the appointment of a London-based vice-president for public affairs international Cathy Heseltine, to whom McCoy will report. McCoy will also oversee Starbucks’ corporate responsibility campaigns such as the Shared Planet ethical sourcing programme.
