Is one-way CR reporting dead? What does integrated reporting mean in real life? These are two of the topics that senior sustainability and communications experts will be addressing at the 4th CR Reporting and Communications Summit this November 25th-26th in London.London, 1st September 2010

One of the biggest shifts this year in CR reporting is in format as much as in content. The traditional one-way, annual printed CR reporting model appears to be creaking at the seams, especially so when expected to deliver progress against challenging sustainability targets and ever-changing expectations.

The 4th CR Reporting and Communications Summit aims to address this development by bringing together some of the most respected companies in this field to share their experience.

A heated debate is anticipated at the opening plenary where senior CR executives from SABMiller, Vodafone and M&S will discuss whether the one-way CR reporting model is dead.

BP will discuss the important role sustainability reporting plays in their response to the recent Gulf of Mexico incident.

Producing an integrated report since 2008, Philips will be joined by Anglo American and DSM at the ‘What does integrated reporting mean in real life?’ session.

Businesses are beginning to recognise the need to ‘communicate with’ rather than ‘report to’ their stakeholders. Hence, CR Communications will be taking a centre role on day two of the conference.

SONY will share their experience in using social media for CR communications, whilst EDF Energy and De Beers will discuss how they ensure consistent CR communications through improved internal alignment.
