Job Description:

One of the UK's largest network utility businesses - whose job it is to make sure that lights are on, homes are heated and businesses powered - is looking to hire a Sustainability and Supplier Diversity Manager to join their growing team in Warwick.

The successful candidate will represent the Global Procurement department working with senior stakeholders to influence policy and strategy across the business.

You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to lead the development, implementation and delivery of the Global Procurement Sustainability and Supplier Diversity strategies and policies in line with wider corporate objectives.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Incorporating sustainability and diversity into Procurement in line with the Utilities Contract Regulations and OJEU procurement rules
  • Defining and leading expected standards for Corporate Responsibility as part of supply chain governance
  • Leading the incorporation of company supported programmes in the Global Procurement system and processes
  • Leading on sustainability / diversity supplier engagement events and coaching procurement sustainability and supplier diversity leads

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the global context of business impact on climate, resources, water and waste along with a broad knowledge of supplier diversity in the context of sustainable procurement.

In addition you will have:

  • Experience of implementing a large-scale supplier diversity programme, ideally in a corporate setting
  • An understanding of supply chain risks with first-hand experience of Low Cost Country sourcing issues
  • Relevant industry experience and ability to build effective partnerships with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies
  • First class planning and strategic management skills
  • Ability to lead cross functional / multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects and / or initiatives that deliver tangible business benefits
  • Degree level education
