ABOUT THE TEAM

Our Sustainability Intelligence team has a strong track record of conducting
innovative and high quality bespoke research for clients including issuers,
non-profits, and financial institutions. Over the past year, the team has
delivered over 100 Sustainable Bond Second Party Opinions to forward-looking
issuers and underwriters worldwide. The proceeds from these bonds have helped
to support many social and environmental initiatives, creating significant
positive sustainability impacts. In 2017, Sustainalytics was awarded “the

POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Associate/Manager position involves assuming a leadership role on
the global Sustainability Intelligence team in its mission to provide a
high-level of service quality to its clients, through the execution of
sustainability bond second-party opinions, ESG-linked corporate lending
services, and other sustainability-related consulting projects. The
Sustainability Intelligence team works with leading edge clients and partners
including multi-national corporations, development banks, underwriters, and
lending institutions. Our services include green/social/sustainability bond
second-party opinions, annual compliance reviews, and impact frameworks,
among other projects.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversight and execution of sustainability bond second-party opinions and
reviews. This often requires working on multiple projects across different
regions and time zones simultaneously;
Managing relationships with issuers, underwriters and lending institutions as
a trusted advisor;
Representing Sustainalytics at external events and meetings;
Managing team members locally and in other offices as required;
Ensuring that projects are managed, executed and delivered on-time,
on-budget, and to a high quality standard;
Develop a deep level of expertise in sustainable debt financing, including
current and emerging trends, issues, drivers, risks and opportunities, key
players, best practice, the regulatory landscape, etc.
Contributing to product and strategy development;
Develop sustainability knowledge and expertise across a variety of themes and
sectors;
Prepare well-written and high-quality client deliverables;
Support the sales and marketing team in business development and proposal
writing;
Liaise with and develop relationships with colleagues across global teams and
offices; and
Present sustainability topics both internally and externally (e.g., client
workshops and presentations, webinars, conferences and events).


QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated interest in sustainable debt financing;
Understanding of debt capital markets and/or corporate finance a strong
asset;
5-8 years related work experience;
Degree in related discipline (business, finance, environment and/or social
sciences);
Alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values;
Strong client servicing and commercial skills;
Ability to understand and present complex products;
Demonstrated success in effectively managing people and/or projects;
Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills;
Meticulousness and attentiveness to detail;
Innovative and entrepreneurial.
