Country Research

POSITION PURPOSE
As a senior associate/manager, you will enhance existing products and develop
new products by identifying new market opportunities. The product manager
defines product requirements, coordinates research execution with research
managers, maintains the product roadmap and oversees product introductions.
The product manager also engages with existing clients to discuss product
related questions. You will work closely with colleagues from the Client
Servicing and Institutional Relations teams as well as our research teams.
Sustainalytics’ Country Research Products will be your main focus. This
includes the sophisticated Country Risk Monitor (CRM), which provides ESG
Ratings for countries, and the Country Involvement products, which identify
companies operating in countries with high exposure to human rights
violations (e.g. Sudan and Syria). It also includes our Sanctions Research,
which supports clients managing investment risks in their sovereign bond
portfolio.
In addition, you will contribute your expertise to and support the growth of
other products, such as:
• Controversial Weapons Radar (CWR), which supports our global client base
in restricting investment in producers of controversial weapons;
• Arms Trade Research, which captures companies selling arms to sanctioned
or ‘conflict’ risk countries; and
• Product Involvement offering, which captures companies’ exposure to
products and services that are either related to restricted topics, such as
Thermal Coal and Tobacco, or solutions to sustainability challenges (e.g.
Renewable Energy).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with research teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality
products to our clients;
• Advise clients on the use and implementation of our research in their
work;
• Coordinate and answer product and research related questions from clients
and colleagues;
• Use your market intelligence to identify market trends and translate
these into product improvements or new product propositions.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s degree in related discipline (business, finance, or
international relations) or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience;
• 5-10 years of work experience in the financial services sector or as a
product/project manager;
• ESG/Responsible Investment background is considered an asset;
• Strategic market insight and commercial perspective;
• Strong project management and execution skills;
• Strong analytical skills and creative, problem-solving attitude;
