Job Description:

Acre is working with a highly innovative, market leading organisation in waste management and resource efficiency. Together we are working to recruit an experienced waste and resource efficiency consultant to provide expert, integrated support services across resource intensive industries in Scotland (e.g. Chemicals, Iron & Steel, Paper & Pulp, Cement, Ceramics, Oil Refineries and Glass).

In this role you will work with large organisations to deliver expert advice and support to key stakeholders, supporting them in the development of resource efficiency programmes. Your support will help these organisations to make decisions which deliver organisational behaviour change to embed the principles of resource efficiency throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Visiting clients sites across Scotland

  • Support in the development of programme strategy, providing expert technical advise

  • Build strong working relationships with key external stakeholders through resource intensive industries

  • Anticipate industry needs and provide tailored solutions

  • Attend and participate in conferences and working groups

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in a related area

  • Specialist technical knowledge relating to resource efficiency in resource intensive industries (e.g. Chemicals, Iron & Steel, Paper & Pulp, Cement, Ceramics, Oil Refineries and Glass).

  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at senior levels

  • Solid project management skills

  • Exceptional communication, with experience influencing decision makers

  • Strong market understanding

  • An awareness of environmental drivers
