Job Description:

The Consumer Goods Forum | GFSI

The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF), a global network that allies consumer goods manufacturers and retailers in their pursuit of better business practices, is seeking a Manager for its Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

Reporting to the Director of the GFSI, you will be responsible for the management of several international food safety outreach groups and initiatives within GFSI as well as the associated communication to key stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Running several Working Group projects (e.g. on Global Markets Strategy (Capacity Building), GFSI outreach local groups (Europe lead and coordination of the Local group network)

  • Managing the intergovernmental organization partnerships (World Bank, GIZ, IFC etc.) and in close coordination with the GFSI Director, identifying key strategic partners and areas of collaboration

  • Maintaining existing relationships with IGO representatives, planning and building collaborative projects

  • Planning webinars and conference calls between meetings to ensure contribution from Working Group members on each work stream

  • Managing global stakeholder consultations

The successful candidate will work primarily in English; however knowledge of French is an advantage when dealing with internal colleagues.

In addition you will have:

  • Working experience in international outreach and development programmes involving multi-stakeholder groups

  • Experience in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including companies, standard bodies, international organisations and governments

  • A general understanding of business on an international level and an interest in food safety

  • Meticulous organisational skills, rigorous, an eye for detail and able to deliver to tight deadlines

  • A strong work ethic with high energy levels and willingness to work hands-on in developing and executing a variety of activities
