Job Description:

The ZDHC | Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals

The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Programme is hiring an effective and efficient Programme Manager to coordinate and implement their challenging projects.

ZDHC was established by a group of global apparel and footwear companies. The overarching Programme vision is to deliver high quality products, using safe chemistries, and operating in ways that keep communities free from unintended, downstream environmental impacts.

The Programme Manager will be business minded, delivery orientated and will have a good knowledge of chemicals relevant to the apparel and footwear industry. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders, all with differing agendas where you will support them to reach ongoing agreements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project managing multiple work streams in a timely and efficient manner

  • Ensuring that all member stakeholders are involved in discussions and have the opportunity to engage in the projects

  • Chairing project team meetings

  • Where relevant, seeking opportunities to collaborate with the stakeholders in speaking opportunities, working group participations, briefings and webinars

  • Standing in for the Executive Director where necessary

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Programme Manager will be goal orientated and a confident communicator.

You will also have:

  • A proven track record of managing multiple projects

  • Experience of managing stakeholder relationships and handling stakeholder negotiations

  • A personal interest in global supply chain issues that effect stakeholder groups

  • Experience in mediation with a diplomatic approach

  • Fluent written and verbal English

  • Demonstrable experience of working with targets and deadlines
