CARE believes that the economic empowerment of women is core to overcoming poverty and social injustice and it is a primary focus for our 2015-2020 global strategy. Our team is recognised across international NGO’s, global institutional donors, including DFID and USAID and leading foundations, as well as the private sector, providing leadership in developing and delivering innovative models for Women’s Economic Empowerment.

We are currently strengthening our team and are recruiting an experienced Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Advisor to set out a strong monitoring & evaluation framework for CARE globally, provide best practice guidance and set and coordinate the central learning and research agenda within Women’s Economic Empowerment and the pathways of financial inclusion, value chain development, dignified work and entrepreneurship.

Working with MEL colleagues across CARE as well as programme and policy experts on Women’s Economic Empowerment, you will facilitate the use of high quality M&E as well as accountability, learning and research methodologies and frameworks that together will ensure that CARE has a strong evidence base for its Economic Empowerment work.

About you

Our ideal candidate will combine their experience in developing indicator frameworks, programme M&E, data analysis and setting innovative learning agendas with their belief in the importance of Women’s Economic Empowerment. They will have a strong understanding of economic development and gender.
