Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive and diligent Membership Host to join our Hosting Team to help us run our inspiring and creative home for social and environmental entrepreneurs.

The Membership Host’s primary responsibility is to coordinate and manage the Hosting team and oversee the smooth running of the Impact Hub Westminster space. The Host reports directly to the Managing Director, but is expected to liaise with the Senior Management Team (SMT) when and if needed.

Hosts play an essential role in creating the daily Impact Hub experience for members. Not one day is alike, and you are in direct and constant contact with our diverse community of members that are working on creating sustainable impact. It is in your hands to support members to make their impact grow.

Membership Host specific tasks:

  • Day-to-day management of the hosting team, including induction of new team members and ongoing training.

  • Membership administration and setting up membership services (such as lockers, postboxes and phone lines).

  • Management of community and hosting budget.

General host tasks:

  • Welcoming new members and guests.

  • Dealing with phone and email enquiries.

  • Support the ‘Community Enabler’ with organising events and socials.

  • Conducting regular tours of the Hub.

  • Ensuring that the space is presentable, exciting and enjoyable for members and visitors.

  • Responding to and handling member enquiries and feedback.

  • Opening and closing the Hub.

  • …and a whole bunch of fun things we can’t predict.

As the ideal candidate, you’ll:

  • Have at least two years prior experience on a busy reception or in a similar role.

  • Be proactive, diligent, have an eye for detail and a passion for customer service.

  • You will thrive on a challenge, and see opportunities for improvement in both the strategic overview as well as day-to-day operational procedures.

  • Naturally go above and beyond to deliver and solve problems.
