Job Description:

Acre is working with a leading investor initiative to help appoint a Senior Manager, Alternatives Investments to join their team in London.

The organization has compiled a set of voluntary best practice principles to assist investors in integrating ESG factors into investment processes and ownership practices.

This role sits within the team that helps investors put these principles into practice.

You will be responsible for Impact Investment and Private Equity workstreams. You will work directly with Principles for Investors in Inclusive Finance and Environmental & Social themed investments signatories, as well as supervise a PE Manager in your team.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the execution of strategy for key programmes, working closely with established signatory steering committees, working groups and colleagues
  • Keeping abreast of global practices and developing practice guidance, case studies, event content; actively disseminating RI knowledge to mainstream investors
  • Running established steering committees and / or working groups comprised of signatories to the principals
  • Participating and speaking at internal and external events to disseminate the organisation’s work

We are looking for a team lead with Private Equity, Impact Investment and Property experience to manage alternative investments focused work streams.

Success in the role requires a solid understanding of RI practice in these assets, and will involve frequent engagement with investors and other responsible investment initiatives in these areas.

In addition you will have:

  • Understanding of fundamental financial considerations in investment management
  • Private equity investment-related experience and / or knowledge
  • Impact investment-related experience and / or knowledge
  • Working knowledge of responsible investments and responsible investment practices
  • Ability to forge long-term relationships with industry leaders and decision makers
  • Team management skills, ability to take responsibility for the development of direct reports
  • Experience of speaking authoritatively to investors, speaking on panels, moderating sessions and running workshops
