A
one day post-conference workshop facilitated by Professor
Alyson Warhurst of Warwick Business School's Corporate
Citizenship Unit

Successful management of human rights risk contributes
to the reputation and brand of companies. However, although an understanding
of why and how human rights is relevant to your business is fundamental,
it is seldom sufficient in itself to instil a human rights protection
culture across your global operations.
Increasingly customers are asking companies to
show evidence of their commitment to human rights, as well as evidence
of its implementation. A successful process of developing policy,
objectives and targets, performance monitoring, reporting and of
creating a strong supportive human rights culture is multi-faceted
and complex.
This practical workshop is designed to, through
a human rights monitoring system approach and risk assessment tools,
help you evaluate your company’s commitment to protect human
rights within your operations and to report on progress in implementing
those commitments. This workshop will also identify common obstacles
for implementing policy, the issues and concerns amongst stakeholders
and tips for overcoming these hurdles, through creating a productive
stakeholder dialogue.
Who should attend
Managers, executives, practitioners, audit trainers,
auditors, those responsible for developing or implementing company
codes of practice and principles
