The CR Reporting Awards

The CR Reporting Awards 2007 are the first online CR reporting awards. Global and independent, the CRRA 2007 are the first of an annual programme developed to identify and acknowledge the best in corporate non-financial reporting. The CR Reporting Awards are managed by CorporateRegister.com - providers of the world's most comprehensive online directory of CR & Sustainability Reports.

The Entrants

Within two weeks of the first call for entries over 200 leading global companies had submitted their reports. After 300 entrants were received the list was closed despite continued interest.

The 300 entrants cover a wide range of organisations from 39 different business sectors across 40 countries. You can vote for reports from multinationals or single-site SME operations.

Award Categories

There are 9 separate awards. These include both the types of companies and reports (for example SME and first time reporters), and 'transparency aspects' of reporting (looking at the quality of specific reporting themes such as carbon and assurance). The awards aim to acknowledge best practice in reporting - they are not looking at corporate performance.

Voting

Voting is open to the CorporateRegister.com user audience of over 20,000 reporting stakeholders. The voting platform went live on the 25th September and voting is brisk, with over 1,000 votes cast by the beginning of October.

The Winners

The awards programme marks a significant development in CR reporting: for the first time thousands of experienced reporting stakeholders will be identifying and rewarding quality across a pool of leading CR reports from 2006/07.

To mark the occasion and ensure that the winners get the attention they deserve, we will be holding a gala awards dinner on the first evening of this event. Your conference ticket includes a place at this dinner.
