Several Asian countries continue to rank among the world’s most corrupt nations in the latest Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index, published in September.

Sixteen countries in the region, including China and India, scored less than four out of 10 in the corruption watchdog’s index.

While multinational companies from the US and Europe increasingly have to comply with anti-corruption laws that cover their foreign operations, many Asian multinationals do not have such compliance imposed by home governments.
