Pasta the new pizza

Pizza Hut is temporarily changing its name to Pasta Hut in a move that will test UK consumer appetite for healthier pasta-based menus over pizza. The potential rebranding is part of a wider health-drive that includes significant nutritional improvements and investment in upgrading restaurants.

The chain is changing the name of 30 branches for a trial period to highlight its new pasta menus. It has launched a website, Pastahut.co.uk, asking customers to vote on whether it should make the name change permanent.
