Hybrid revolutionaries

It’s official: middle class hippies are going to save the planet. A new survey reveals that the typical US hybrid car driver is middle aged, college-educated and a wealthy Democrat. You don’t say?

The report from Scarborough Research finds that 42 per cent of households in the US that either own or rent a hybrid vehicle have an income of $100,000 or more. These individuals are twice as likely as average US adults to have a college degree, and are 23 per cent more likely to be over 50.
