The Danish cartoons - Dialogue will defeat extremism
All sides need to come to the table to defuse the row over the Danish newspaper cartoons of Prophet Muhammad. Companies, too, can play a role in facilitating a solution
But we must remember this is a crisis the Danish government helped to provoke.
When the row over the cartoons first erupted in September, Denmark refused to meet Arab and Muslim ambassadors to discuss the matter. To make things worse, Denmark went on to maintain that the issue was purely one of free speech.
