In general China is a country devoid of the rule of law. Judges take instruction from Communist Party cadres. There are no juries. Class actions are thrown out. Lawyers are regularly disbarred, and so on. Consequently, the system is chaotic, unfair and standards are well below international norms.

However, courts do make decisions, sometimes bizarre, and as a company operating in China you never know what might happen. And remember there is no awarding of costs in China, so it can all get very expensive. I could argue the point further, but these recent examples probably give you a flavour of the diversity of cases and judgements.
