Ethical Corporation are pleased to welcome Steve Easterbrook, UK CEO of McDonald’s, to the speaker roster for the 9th annual Responsible Business Summit – the largest corporate responsibility and sustainability conference in Europe. 12 January 2010, London

Mr Easterbrook, who has been running McDonalds’ UK operations since 2006, will deliver a keynote speech addressing an issue on which he has made a significant impact in his time as CEO.

His speech is designed to answer the questions "How are we using corporate responsibility to help modernize McDonald's? Why have we made these changes, and what effect has it had on our customers and employees?”

Mr Easterbrook is playing a key role in this modernizing process, and will give conference attendees insight into how the initiative is progressing, real change this use of corporate responsibility has heralded, and the direct impact it has had on the company’s fortunes in the UK.

Mr Easterbrook is one of six CEOs/Presidents giving keynote addresses on aspects of corporate responsibility and sustainability at the Summit- and one of over 40 senior business executives contributing as speaker overall. Other business leaders speaking at the event include Ian Cheshire, Group CEO of Kingfisher, Hubert Patricot, President of Coca Cola Enterprises in Europe, and Kenneth Bengtsson, President and CEO of leading Scandinavian retailer, ICA.

Over 450 corporate responsibility professionals are expected at the Summit, which is widely acknowledged as Europe’s premier meeting place for corporate responsibility executives.
